Young Brass Soloist Competition Results
Houston Brass Band’s 10th Annual Young Brass Soloist Competition this weekend (3rd May) was another huge success. We had 32 young brass soloists from 24 schools across 17 School Districts. The Band would like to thank all the Junior High and High School competitors and wild like to announce the winners of this year’s competition.
Junior Division
1st Place - Connor Collins
Joint 2nd Place - Garrett Davis and Ryan Norris.
Senior Division
1st Place - Aidan Delligatti
2nd Place - Allie Davis
3rd Place - Brenden Griffith
The standard of the performances was extremely high and the scoring was close this year. So much so, for the first time in our 10 year history, we had a joint second place award in the Junior Division.
Congratulations to all the contestants, parents & guardians, band directors, private tutors, and the schools represented by your wonderful musicians. We look forward to seeing you all back next year.
As the overall winner of the competition, Aidan Delligatti has the opportunity to perform a solo the Houston Brass Band in our 2025/2026 concert season. In addition to his first prize trophy, Aiden is also the recipient of the Bridget Jensen Award for Music Excellence.
